Rasionalisasi Pengendara Lawan Arus di Kota Kediri

Abstract

Kediri City is a city in East Java. Traffic and road transportation have a strategic role in supporting national development and integration as part of advancing public welfare as regulated in Law No. 22 of 2009, the aim of which is to foster and organize safe, secure, orderly, and smooth LLAJ. Traffic problems are not only the provision of facilities and infrastructure, but also the indiscipline of the community towards traffic regulations such as breaking through red lights to going against the flow. The study aims to reveal the rationalization of motorcyclists who go against the flow on roads with SSA in the city of Kediri. This study is a qualitative study. The study was conducted on informants of motorcyclists with experience going against the flow on roads that implement SSA. The results of the study indicate that the type of rationalization carried out by informants is the type of sour grapes, namely avoiding difficult roads such as having to take a detour or further and replacing it with going against the flow on traffic with the implementation of SSA.
