Abstract

Simpang 4 Lamper – Gajah is an intersection in Semarang City that has different phase arrangements and ineffective distribution of green time, resulting in poor intersection performance and service levels. This causes high traffic conflicts and affects overall traffic performance, as well as causing congestion that disturbs road users. This research aims to optimize the performance of intersections to reduce traffic conflicts by using the 2023 PKJI calculation method. The results of the analysis show that in the 2023 PKJI approach, the degree of existence is still better than the planning performance. For Planning I with a cycle time of 80 seconds, it proved to be the best option by reducing the queue length by 36% to 81.04 meters, Planning I delay with a cycle time of 110 seconds is a plan that can reduce the delay by 8% to 87.1 sec/smp.
