Analisis Karakteristik Kecelakaan Lalu Lintas Kabupaten Klaten Tahun 2023

Abstract

Klaten Regency is located between Yogyakarta and Solo, being an important link between the two cities. Motorists from outside the area passing through and the large number of people moving around cause traffic to become denser, thereby increasing the risk of accidents. This research aims to determine the characteristics of accidents in Klaten Regency in 2023. Based on Klaten Police data, 1,485 accidents were recorded that occurred that year. The factors causing accidents were dominated by human factors with 1,420 incidents. Front-side collisions occurred most frequently with 558 incidents. Motorbikes were involved in the most accidents, with 2,231 vehicles recorded. The location of the most incidents was in residential areas with 1,142 incidents. Friday recorded the most accidents with 264 incidents, especially during the day from 12.00-18.00 with 747 incidents. A total of 1,877 victims suffered injuries and 159 victims died, with the majority of victims being male, 1,337 people, and 432 victims aged 17-25 years. Straight vehicle movement was the main cause of accidents with 791 incidents.
