Bus drivers frequently apply braking to slow down or stop the vehicle, as well as when stopping at bus stops. Sometimes, drivers neglect the smoothness of braking, leading to jolts that reduce passenger comfort. This comfort is crucial for transport companies in ensuring service quality, which is why educating drivers to develop a driving culture that is comfortable, safe, and secure is necessary. This research designs a braking smoothness measurement tool using a research and development method. The tool measures braking smoothness on a "g" scale using sensors and controllers to monitor according to the standard range of -0.1g to -0.3g, and provides indications through an LCD display, buzzer, and indicator lights when the standard is exceeded. The measurement results show a high level of accuracy, with a relatively low error rate. The accuracy achieved is 91%, with a measured deviation of 9%. With this tool, it is hoped that drivers' awareness of smooth braking will increase, enhancing safety and improving the quality of bus transport services.
