Analisis Sistem Pergerakan Komoditas Forwarding Karet di Kalimantan Barat

Abstract

Indonesia, as an agrarian country has a dominant agricultural sector in its economy, with rubber being one of its leading export commodities. This research aims to analyze the distribution of rubber in West Kalimantan, particularly in 14 main zones: Sambas, Sanggau, Ketapang, Sekadau, Kapuas Hulu, Kayong Utara, Bangkalan, Landak, Mempawah, Kubu Raya, Pontianak City, Singkawang City, Melawi, and Sintang. The methods used include multiple regression analysis to determine influential independent variables, transportation mode selection considering efficiency and cost, and distribution analysis using the Unconstrained Gravity model. The results show that land area (X1) is the most significant variable affecting rubber production, with a positive correlation of 0.787. The efficient transportation mode is a combination of trucks and sea vessels, with lower operational costs for sea routes. The distribution analysis using the UCGR model indicates that rubber commodity movements in West Kalimantan are dominated by zones with large land areas and good transportation access. This research provides essential insights for developing distribution strategies and enhancing the logistics efficiency of rubber commodities in West Kalimantan.
