Analisis Perencanaan Konsep Transit Oriented Developmeant (TOD) Di Stasiun KRL Rawa Buntu

Abstract

Urban sprawl or the expansion of urban areas forces people to seek housing in the suburbs which causes traffic congestion due to private vehicles becoming the main mode of transportation. The Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept is here to overcome this problem by maximizing the use of mass public transportation which has proven effective in reducing congestion and improving the quality of life in various countries such as Europe, America, Hong Kong, Japan, and others. Indonesia began implementing the TOD concept with the issuance of DKI Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 44 of 2017 concerning the Development of TOD Areas. However, the implementation of TOD in Indonesia has not been maximized because the TOD concept is not proportional because its thinking is limited from a commercial aspect, especially focused on housing purposes, resulting in the use of private vehicles still being high and not overcoming congestion. This study was conducted to analyze TOD planning at Rawa Buntu KRL Station using variables whose data is available in the TOD plan area of ​​Rawa Buntu Station such as density, diversity, accessibility, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, socio-economic development, connect, transit, compact, and shift. After the analysis, the results showed that the variables of density, accessibility, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, connect, and shift were not met so that the TOD plan area of ​​Rawa Buntu Station did not meet existing standards and principles. Therefore, improvements are needed to the unmet variables to maximize the TOD area of ​​Rawa Buntu Station.
