Abstract

This research aims to find out the optimal route that companies must take to send their products. PT. Gudang Baru Berkah is a cigarette distribution company established in the Kepanjen area, Malang Regency. Travel distance which will impact travel time and requests that must be completed within a week are problems for the company. The methods used are the saving matrix and nearest neighbor methods. The results after the route analysis were carried out were route savings, where the company's initial routes in a week amounted to 15 routes with a distance of 4103.4 km. Meanwhile, from the optimization results, 11 routes were obtained with a total distance of 3220.3 km. Obtained savings in terms of distance of 20%. Then, in terms of time, it was saved, namely from the initial route of 5-7 delivery days to 3-4 delivery days. Meanwhile, in terms of costs, savings of around 22% are obtained on fuel costs. And for food costs, you get savings of 40%.
