Strategi Mengurangi Titik Buta Pada Kendaraan Angkutan Barang Dengan Upaya Peningkatan Keselamatan Dalam Transportasi

This study aims to identify and reduce blind spots on freight vehicles, especially trucks, to improve transportation safety. Using a qualitative method, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 truck drivers. The survey results showed that 62% of drivers often encounter dangerous situations related to blind spots, with the primary contributing factors being vehicle size and type (65%), followed by the position and size of side mirrors (21%). Proposed solutions include the use of cameras or sensors (65%), additional mirrors (44%), and new cabin designs (3%). This study emphasizes the importance of adopting modern technology and improving vehicle design to address blind spots. The implementation of these solutions is expected to reduce the risk of accidents and enhance the safety of drivers and other road users.
