Abstract

Sumedang Regency has a fairly high accident rate, so it is necessary to carry out an analysis to reduce accidents in the area. The research approach uses the Accident Equivalence Rate (AEK) method and the Upper Control Limit (UCL) method for segment weighting. Based on the graph, the highest accident occurred in 2017 with a total of 113 accidents, with an accident percentage of 25.76%. The highest type of vehicle that was involved in the most accidents was Motorcycle Vehicles 69% with sunny conditions at 72%. Based on the results of a comparison chart of the AEK (Equivalent Accident Rate) method and the UCL (Upper Control Limit) method at STA. 24+900 – ST. 25+200 the AEK value exceeds the UCL value, so handlers are needed at accident-prone points to reduce the impact of accidents on the Jatinangor road section. Using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, an average PCI of 96 is obtained where the pavement conditions are in the perfect category at the blackspot location at STA. 24+900 – ST. 25+200 Jalan Raya Jatinangor
