Risk refers to the potential for adverse or harmful outcomes, such as traffic accidents that may result in fatalities. Teuku Umar Street in Semarang City is particularly prone to accidents due to its complex layout, including flyovers, underpasses, and commercial and office areas. To assess and mitigate these risks, a study was conducted to determine the causal factors and their risk levels on this road. Data were collected through literature reviews and interviews with traffic experts from SATLANTAS and the Transportation Agency. Using the Likert scale within the Probability Impact Matrix method, the analysis identified 1 low-risk subfactor, 4 medium risks, 4 high risks, and 1 very high risk. Proposed mitigations include developing vehicle sensor technology and providing traffic knowledge and emergency response training.
