Abstract

This research discusses the design and implementation of an Arduino Uno-based accelerator and clutch freeplay measuring device. Measuring free play on the gas, clutch and brakes is an important aspect in ensuring optimal performance and safety of the vehicle. This research aims to design and develop a freeplay measuring tool for gas, clutch and brakes based on an Arduino Uno that is efficient and easy to use. By utilizing the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, this tool is able to measure pedal movement with high accuracy and display the results in real-time via the LCD. This system is designed to increase the efficiency and accuracy of motor vehicle maintenance, as well as support the technical test process required by government regulations. Test results show that this tool is able to provide accurate and reliable data, so it can improve driving safety by ensuring that the gas pedal and clutch function optimally. Apart from that, this tool can also contribute to the development of Arduino-based technology in the automotive sector and provide practical insights for technicians and researchers.
