Optimalisasi Simpang Bersinyal Guna Meningkatkan Kinerja Lalu Lintas dengan Pendekatan PKJI 2023 dan VISSIM (Studi Kasus: Simpang Wirobrajan, Yogyakarta)

The Wirobrajan intersection is a type of signalized intersection in the city of Yogyakarta which is one of the main access points for entering and leaving the city of Yogyakarta. Based on a study by the Yogyakarta City PKL Team 2024, Bali Land Transportation Polytechnic, it was found that the average degree of saturation value for this intersection reached 0,90, the highest queue length for one of the approaches reached 267 meters, and the highest average delay reached 148.03 seconds/light vehicle unit. Therefore, a traffic engineering study is needed in the form of cycle time optimization using PKJI 2023 and then modeling it into Vissim software. This research uses data on rush hour volume, vehicle speed, and intersection inventory. The results of the analysis show that after optimizing the exit cycle time, the average queue length for all approaches has decreased by 18.68%, while the average delay for all approaches has decreased by 15.66%.
