Abstract

Simpang Tiga Ringin Semar in Surakarta is a three-way intersection that is not equipped with traffic lights. Simpang Ringin Semar connects Jalan Ahmad Yani and Jalan Monginsidi which has a risk of accidents. This study aims to provide recommendations to overcome this problem. Three recommendations were found using two different methods: Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines 2023 and Vissim Simulation Model. The GEH method was used for validation. The best recommendation is the third recommendation, which is to change the control type to signalized or APILL and change the geometry of Jalan Monginsidi. Solutions to minimize the number of accidents involve installing APILL and improving safety facilities (signs and road markings).
