Analisis Pengaruh Penerapan Permen LHK No. 8 Tahun 2023 Terhadap Kelulusan Hasil Uji Emisi Gas Buang KBWU (Studi Kasus UPT PKB Dinas Perhubungan Kota Denpasar)

Abstract

The ever-increasing number of vehicles has led to higher air pollution and adverse health impacts. In response, the government has developed a new emissions regulation, Permen LHK No. 8 of 2023, to address this issue. This study examines the impact of the regulation on diesel vehicle emissions testing at the Denpasar City Transportation Agency's UPT PKB. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, which compares the implementation of the new regulation with the old regulation. The results showed that using the new regulation, 17 vehicles with Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) ≤ 3.5 tons and 27 vehicles with GVW > 3.5 tons did not pass the emission test. The percentage results show a failure of 53.33% for vehicles with GVW ≤ 3.5 tons and 90% for vehicles with GVW > 3.5 tons. So the implementation of this new rule greatly affects the results of motor vehicle emission tests.
