Perencanaan Pola Operasi KA Petikemas Jalur Semarang Tawang – TPK Tanjung Emas

Abstract

The planned development of a rail connection with Semarang's Tanjung Emas Port is part of the National Development Plan 2030. The line was initially managed by PJKA (PT KAI) until 2003. In 2015, the reactivation project of the Semarang Tawang - Tanjung Emas Port line began through cooperation between the Ministry of Transportation, Central Java Provincial Government, PT KAI, and PT Pelindo III, aiming to reduce double movement in container transportation. The Semarang Tawang - Tanjung Emas TPK Container Train Operation Pattern Planning research examines operational needs based on demand by analyzing transportation potential, travel needs, travel time, operating patterns, and gapeka preparation.  The results showed that the KLB travel time from Semarang Tawang to Tanjung Emas TPK was about ± 5 minutes. The facilities used are 1 locomotive CC 203 with a series of 20 GD 42 Ton, KLB frequency 1 round trip from Tanjung Emas and Kalimas with V-Slag operation pattern.
